Are your bars safe for the ocean and reef?

Yes! All Sea Salted hair bars are 100% reef-safe. We never use ingredients that harm marine ecosystems, no sulphates, no silicones, no preservatives. Just clean, ocean-conscious hair care made for the wild.

How do I use the shampoo bar?

It’s simple!

• Wet your hair and the shampoo bar.

• Rub the bar directly into your scalp and lather working from scalp to roots

• Massage and rinse thoroughly.

Our shampoo does lather, thanks to its naturally derived cleansers, just without the synthetic overload. Clean hair, no compromise.

How do I use the conditioner bar?

Our conditioner bar doesn’t coat the hair like bottled products and sometimes takes a little to get used to but it’s definitely worth it. It actually nourishes and strengthens from root to tip.

• Start by wetting both the bar and your hair.

• Glide the bar directly over your strands, focusing on mid-lengths and ends.

• Massage through gently with your fingers.

• Let it sit for a minute before rinsing well.

It won't lather (because we don’t load it with chemicals just nourishing conditioning ones), but we promise, your hair will feel soft, smooth, and healthy. For best results: Use before and after every ocean adventure.

How do I detangle my hair after swimming?

Saltwater, wind, and waves can leave your hair knotted. Use our conditioner bar before heading into the ocean to help prevent tangles, and again afterwards to smooth things out. Comb your hair gently using a wide-tooth comb starting from the ends and working up. Our bars reduce breakage and make the process much easier.

How often should I wash my hair?

Everyone’s hair is different, but 2–3 times per week is a good baseline. Ocean lovers may want to wash or condition more frequently depending on how often you're in the sea. Our bars are gentle enough for regular use and nourishing enough to protect your hair from salt, sun and sand.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do. We want salty souls around the world to experience the magic of Sea Salted Hair.

When will my order arrive?

Domestic Orders (Australia):
We ship Monday – Friday. Most orders arrive within 5–7 business days, but please allow extra time for remote areas or unexpected postal delays. If there's an issue with your order, please email us at hello@saltedchristmasisland.com.au

International Orders:
Most orders are shipped via DHL and arrive within 1–2 weeks depending on your location.

Do you accept returns?

We hope you absolutely love your Sea Salted Hair bars but we understand things happen. Returns are accepted within 14 days of receiving your order. Just email us at hello@saltedchristmasisland.com to organise a return.

To qualify:

• Products must have at least 75% of the bar left in the tin.

• You must have purchased directly from www.seasalted.com.au

• Complimentary gifts (if part of the purchase) must also be returned.

We cannot accept:

• Nearly empty tins

• Items tampered with or filled with other products

• Partial returns on bundle sets

• Items purchased from third-party retailers

Shipping fees are non-refundable and return postage is not covered by Sea Salted Hair at this time, including for orders that qualified for free shipping.

International Returns

At this time, international return shipping is not covered by Sea Salted Hair. Please contact us for return authorisation and instructions before posting your item.

Return Terms & Conditions

– We do not offer international exchanges
– Returns must be received within 14 days of the return label being issued
– We are not responsible for personal damages (e.g., dropped, spilled, stolen, misused items)
– Bundle sets must be returned in full
– Shipping fees, gift wrapping, customs, and duties are not refundable
